- The Pima County (AZ) Republican party is getting hammered over auctioning off a .40 cal Glock. I had two initial thoughts on this: 1. They're auctioning a Glock? Sweet!! Where can I buy a ticket? 2. How are they not calling this a Glaucktion (Glock + auction)? I mean, really. If the name was a little more clever, there wouldn't be any outrage. In seriousness, though, most people couldn't recognize a Glock from a Smith & Wesson, so the only reason there's so much outrage is because it's a gun and gives the anti-gun lefties a chance to get some attention by exploiting the shooting that took place 9 months ago. The Republicans probably should have seen this coming and avoided it, but I think the bigger problem is hyper-sensitivity. A what point will it be ok to mention the word "Glock" in Arizona without everyone freaking out?
- This article and this article are sickening. I find the second one particularly sad; it ruined what should have been a really great experience. This led to a discussion between me and a friend of mine where we both agreed that the collapse of society is coming soon. How soon? Well, I'm not doing any early Christmas shopping this year.
- Apparently our "ally" Pakistan is where most of the explosive material for IEDs in Afghanistan comes from. There's been a lot of call to blow up the fertilizer plant, which seems extreme since the fertilizer also supports farmers there. However, can't we track where it's going and bomb the jihad out of them once it gets there? More importantly, why are we still calling Pakistan an ally? They're the most useless sidekick of all-time.
- There's something awesome about an Asian guy in a Los Angeles basketball jersey joining the rebels in Libya. Sounds like he provides more comic relief than military support, unlike this college student who joined the fight without telling his parents.
- Greg Gutfeld analyzes the progressive movement.
- The rebuilt New Orleans levies get a failing grade, but the bigger question is why people are still living in New Orleans.
- Sounds like we have a real life Frank Abagnale Jr. here. It's actually pretty awesome that everyone received proper care.
